Forensic Planning

With programme management, a focus on the past indicates delays or hindrances in project progress. In such cases, our team conducts an in-depth analysis of disruptions or schedule deviations and reconstructs the timeline of events that led to any discrepancies.

How it Works

Post-Project Analysis

In contrast to traditional project planning, forensic analysis is conducted post-construction. Of course, the goal is to always remain on track, but external factors, extenuating circumstances, or poor planning or execution can seriously hamper project schedule or task adherence.

Investigating and Analysing Project Delays

With forensic planning, our job is to investigate the project in-depth and analyse any delays that had an unfavourable impact on the project’s outcome. Often, this occurs as a result of legal action being initiated on behalf of either party involved in the contract, and forensic planning seeks to hold the responsible party accountable based on the facts uncovered in the analysis.

Identifying Root Causes of Project Delays

Our team will thoroughly examine any disputes that arise following project completion. We’ll look into various factors that played a role in construction delays, such as inadequate information, contractor performance issues, design and specification variations, poor communication, and financial challenges. From there, we’ll conduct an assessment of whether these delays could be reasonably prevented and calculate the impact on project costs and agreed-upon timelines.

Following our investigation, we’ll prepare a detailed report that unveils our findings and assign responsibility accordingly. Depending on our findings, requests for timeline extensions or cost adjustments can be supported.
